Dental Treatment by Highly Qualified Dentists

In order to practise Germany, all dentists and surgeons must obtain a governmental certificate. They must be fully qualified, with affiliations and membership.  In order to maintain their license, a practicing dentist must accrue enough points each year and they do so by attending training courses, seminars and lectures to keep them continually aware of new technologies and techniques.
 
Dentists train initially as a ‘general’ dentist and then go on to specialise. A general dentist can go for a short course and become an Implantologist but an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon has to train for at least an extra two to three years on top of five years at university. This makes them better equipped to carry out implant and bone grafting surgery.  This high level training means that dentists in Germany offer a perfect service.

Dental Implants are a man-made replacement for a tooth’s natural root. The implant is set into the bone of your jaw and your new tooth is then attached to it. You will need, not only the implant, but a temporary healing cap, an abutment to connect the implant to its new crown and the crown itself – not to mention x rays, anaesthetics and sedation.  It is important to understand this as there is a lot of misleading advertising about implant prices.

Dental websites quote a range of apparently attractive prices for implants, but you need to understand these prices are in fact only for one component. You need to look at the cost of all the parts added together to make an accurate comparison.

Overdentures: 1.700.- EUR

A removable restoration that attaches to implants. It is made of acrylic resin.      These restorations vary considerably in expense

Overdenture/metal 2500.00.- EUR

Part of the acrylic resin is replaced by metal for greater strength and a  thinner  restoration

Hybrid: from 3.500.00.- EUR + dentistry

This restoration is a permanent restoration. It can be removed by your dentist., It stays in your mouth all the time

Telescoping bridge 6 units : 3.500.- EUR incl. dentist. Without implants.

This is a special type of technique with telesoping double crowns. It is removable, but looks like a bridge. It works like a permanent restoration. You can remove it for cleaning

Attachments: 100.00.- EUR each -   Duolock / Microdent

Bar  800.00:_ EUR

A bar might be added to a removable restoration for   greater stabilization
